[/ QUOTE ]seriously though, the Lakers of this year are not even the lakers of the mid 90's. This team sucks, a lot, minus Kobe. He could score 35 and they will still loose.

As long as you don't have to play the Celts, you're fine.

Six_of_One

I think "sucks" is a bit strong to describe a team that's 12-8...but you're right, the Lakers aren't close to what they were in the past. I doubt they have much of a chance tonight. If Kobe scores 35 by throwing up a bunch of shots, they'll lose for sure. If he has another triple double AND scores 35, then they'd probably win...unlikely, though.

ThaSaltCracka
12-14-2004, 07:40 PM
Laker fans are just being overly optimistic. Face it, this team blows without Shaq. They went from being a top 5 team in the NBA to a suckass with one fail swoop. Diesel dominates the whole game. Kobe dominates his defender.

Even if they beat the Sonics tonight, they still suck.

Kobe will probably score 40, and the Sonics will win by 20. There is no one else on the Lakers that worries me overly (unless Lamar Odom loses his bong).

On a related note- I swear I saw Rashard Lewis in Loehmann's Plaza about an hour ago. A lowered Escalade (I think) with spinning rims and seriously dark tint was waiting in the Applebee's take out parking spot. When I came out of QFC, his window was down getting his food from the attendant. I didn't get a really good look, but the vehicle had Texas plates on it...

I hope it wasn't him, actually. I can't imagine eating shitty Applebee's food and performing at an All-Star level. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I saw nate at the keg in Loehmann's right before the season started. I think he had a lincoln navigator though (it was some kind of black SUV). We were walking in at the same time, and while as i fan i wanted to say something, he had his family with him so i just nodded my head and went in.

Rashard lives some where in Bellevue. My coworker say him at Target once.

Could be. I rarely go to QFC's are they seem to be a bit overpriced. Although, the safeway in factoria really blows, so maybe i should go to qfc more often.

Actually, i was trying to convince my girlfriend to come, but, since has a hard time losing more than 2 dollars. I couldn't really come up with something for her to do at the muck for more than 2-3 hours that is going to cost less than two bucks. She amazed me the last time we went though. I played for about three hours and she lost two bucks playing 25 cent video poker. Then of course, she complained about it, "i lost TWO dollars".

Plus, when i say pull a portland, you should know that just going flat and dumping a 15 point lead in the 4th quarter is entirely possible. Even in game 7 of a playoff series with the lakers /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

The Sonics beat the Lakers good last night.

Kobe did score a lot of points, but you could tell he was trying to force passes to the other players. The Lakers offense is not built on passing the way the Sonics offense is.
