this is why I use The Lee Jones method (http://hb5.seikyou.ne.jp/home/m-atuko/tarot/cards/waite.jpg)

But it all depends anyway. Charts are just that, charts. You still have to exercise some thought on each hand and see which opponent did what before the flop. That is why the answer is, "It depends" not "But the chart indicates I should...."

I love those parts.

Its so much fun at the end of the hand to turn over T4s, or 86s, and say, 'Just because I don't usually play this junk, doesn't mean I don't know how to /images/graemlins/grin.gif.'

You're too tight.

You probably don't appreciate the enormity of this statement coming from me.

Just to clarify, this forum is for discussion of small stakes hold'em, including but not limited to "Small Stakes Hold'em."

If you're talking specifically about "Small Stakes Hold'em" (the book) I guess Chesspain thinks the Books & Software forum would be more appropriate, but I think it's fine to discuss in the Small Stakes forum.

It's more fun when a regular at the table sees your hand and says, "I didn't think you played hands like that."

1) this depends on the blind structure, when the SB is half the BB then its usually correct to play any suited cards if there are some limpers, but in a 1:3 structure you need to tighten up...

2) with some limpers playing medium/low suited connectors in LP is profitable...

Intestingly, this situation came up last Sunday at the Borg. I had 93s in the SB. 4 limpers, I completed. To make a long story short, I hit the flush, won, and the guy on my right said "Why did you play that hand?" I just grinned as I stacked his chips.
