All the pertinant information is right on their site including how to accumulate points. I have around 1000 and didn't even know it till last night! The store will be opening soon.

Thanks for the post. I have 15,000 + points and didn't know it. Hopefully they will get some freerolls going. Interesting that they have been counting points for 6 weeks and they haven't gotten the "store" open yet.

That is interesting. Quite the IRS like system they have set up to calculate points.

They're way ahead of empire in terms of how points are accumulated. Empire's crap VIP system rewards tournament play way more than ring games.

I think its also strange how many points you get for each deposit. Depositing $500 gets you as many points as playing 1000 raked 15/30 games.

Naturally, we won't be able to assess the quality of this program until we see what the points can be redeemed for. Looks good so far though.

Wonder if you could abuse that deposit bonus...heh. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I actualy think the way they have the system set up is pretty inspired. It encourages people not to jump around from site to site pretty well. I suspect when we see the actual rewards we'll see how useless it actualy is, but until then I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Interesting.

Obviously, it remains to be seen how good these are since we don't know how much they are going to charge in their store and for the tournaments, etc.
But the structure seems better than the REALLY BAD empire VIP points structure.

I noticed the 1k points for deposits as well.

Also -
play ANY number of raked-hands on 5 days out of 7 and get 200 points.
play ANY number of raked-hands on 20 days out of the month and get 500 points.
You can show up, play your 1 orbit there each day....and get 1300 points a month.

Deposit $500/wk or so for another 4k points....but it appears you can't cash-out for 7 days in order to receive the points.
But I don't know if there is any limitation on the number of deposits you can make.

If I make 4 conseuctive deposits of $500 each (in 5 minutes) do I still get the 4000 points (provided I wait a week before cashing it all out)?

I might be looking to accumulate points there as cheaply as possible. Since I have no rake-back there (and do on a couple of skins) I just don't show up at Party very often.
Somehow I have over 2k points in my account though.

The only promotions I am interested in are one that convert into $. It remains to be seen what these 'special promotions' are that Silver & Gold players are eligible for.

The last time Party corresponded with me about 'special promotions' is when they secretly increased their rake and said that's what it would be funding. Never happened of course. Nothing new of any significance to justify the extra $100,000's they were extracting each week. But all daily low limit players are still each paying hundreds of dollars extra in rake every month.

Maybe this new Players Club will correspond with the next, inevitable (they've done it once they'll do it again), probably secret, rake increase.

I will gladly forego all of this Players Club flimflamery for a guarantee of no rake increase in the next 3 years.

In fact I'd forego it for a 1 year guarantee.

if this system works any similar to the players club deals at their affilate casino sites Starluck and Planetluck, then cashback promotions are a strong possibility. When I was doing the bonus whoring playing blackjack and video poker, I was able to get a free $20 from iglobalmedia rewards just for answering some easy survey questions online, and they often gave $10 monthly "loyalty bonuses" just for giving them a decent amount of action. This was on top of the $100 match bonus they gave on signup which was virtually impossible to lose when playing low-risk games.

I also like that PP is offering bonus points just for depositing money, similar to Absolute Poker. I'm sure these offshore dudes make some good side profit by investing the cash reserves supplied by players as they do from rakes and tourney fees. I don't mind being a customer at the "PartyPoker Bank" as long as I get some cash interest and/or toaster-like schwag for my business.

Unless the merch giveaways are really poor, I think PP is making a very shrewd competitive move with this program to solidify position within the top 3-5 sites out there. Historically they have not offered much to everyday players aside occasional, mediocre bonuses and the legendary sea of fish to play against. But the combination of getting paid TO play and WHILE playing too, will make PP quite the force in the industry.

They haven't really started this thing yet. However they are counting points for 6 weeks.I hope for some good tourneys.

I just made my first "get my 1k points" deposit.
I think the rules state that I have to leave it in there 7 days in order to get the points.

Also playing my 1 orbit (5 days of ANY raked-hand play per week earns 200 points).

Not sure how much I'll stick with trying to build my point-total there....I might get tired of doing it pretty fast.

Not too sure about that. Just look at how much neteller points are worth. The only thing I have to show for all the neteller points I have is a depleted bank account. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Homer - Oh, 3 cents...but I wanted a peanut.

Brain - 3 cents can buy 23 peanuts.

Homer - Explain how.

Brain - Money can be exchanged for goods and services.

Homer - Woohoo!
