Table: extremely loose passive. Typically 5 to the flop. Not odd at all to see 7 or 8 in an unraised pot.

Villain here... I've seen him 12 hands, he's seen 9 flops. Raised preflop in 3 or 4 of them. Only one really raising preflop, ever. I wanted to check call this river but I thought he would simply call with a low flush. Based on his numbers, a gut feeling, and preserving my sanity, I made the call and couldn't believe my eyes.

Normally i wouldnt be betting into a 4 flush board with a straight cause all the other guy needs is a 2 of clubs to take. I would MAYBE do the check call down from the turn and probably throw it away on the river when the 4th club came.
I could be wrong but the way the dude was betting id put him on a club. It is 10/25 though

I seriously don't always play like this. I would usually call the turn raise and check call the river, but I went with a gut feeling - which is almost always -EV. In this hand, however, it turned out okay, amazingly enough.

I was honestly a blink from folding this river.
