I guess there's no longer a reason for any Vegas-based touney pro to be a road gambler. That's because there's enough tourneys in Vegas to justify no longer travelling to other places in order to play tournaments full time. The Queens Classic, the Hall of Fame, the Orleans Open, and the WSOP will keep the full time tourney pro in Vegas for a guaranteed 5 months, thus eliminating his travel costs big time in the process.

And what to do with the other 7 months? Well, there's the monthly 2,500 buy-in at the Bellagio, the weekly 1,000 buy-in at the Bellagio, the daily 100 (with rebuys) buy-ins at the Mirage, and finally, the daily 30 to 60 buy-ins (with re-buys) at the Orleans which one can actually use as multi-table satellites for the bigger ($100 buy-ins or higher) events.

The road tourney specialists can finally say good bye to long boring drives to far away places like LA, Reno, and Northern California. And in the process save on what used to be $50 a night or higher hotel bills. Now, he can just stay in Vegas where rent and houses are cheap and use his gas money on other things.

Good by Legends of Poker, good bye Commerce, good bye Hollywood Park, good bye Lucky Chances, good bye Bay 101. I don't need you anymore.
