Lions -6.5 Boys - Boys played guts out - now rookie QB on road vs fired up Lions who want to atone for Green Bay washout. Should come out on fire. Boys can't play FG games for 3 qtrs - especially on the road. THeir D looks improved, their O is Oh-ful. Lions 27-3
Under Lions 35 - rookie or backup QB on road - always good under bets for the long-term. Just hope Detroit doesn't score over 35 by themselves.
Skins -3 Cards. Skins overrated, Cards, well their the Cards. They suck. The only reason they don't have a loss yet is that they haven't played. Come Sunday night they will. Skins 20-7
Seahawks -3 Chiefs. Bad line. Grab it while you can. Line the by-product of Seattle squeaker and Chief gutsy near-miss vs Raiders. Seahawks 1-0, that's all Homgren cares about - Vermeil will wish he stayed in retirement - Seattle 31-14
Jets-Raiders Under 44.5. Both teams gave up points last week - the Jets gave up 14 on fluke plays Expect both D's to be fired up. Would normally be tempted to grab generous points with Gang Green but history has shown us they don't usually play too well in Oakland. Also, jury is going to remain out on "PLayer's Coach" Herman Edwards until the Jets prove they can win with his politically correct coaching style. History also shows us that this approach generally fails. Raiders 23-10
Miami-Bills under 34.5 Also tempted to play Dolphins at home in 1PM Septemeber games, but 7 could be the right number. Expect D's to dominate and doubtful Bills will score more than 10 on the road. However, short week for Miami and dreadful second half by Bills points to close-to-the-vest divisional football. I think the linesmakers have this one right - Fins 17-10.
