OK, this is a poker site, not a computer technical support site, but we're all using pc's to play, so there has to be a pretty fair number of pc savy folks out there in 2+2 land. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
My old NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400 can't do the job for my new Dell 2001fp. I've gotten some advice that Radeon is the way to go and the reviews and tests seem to bear this out. I'm not a high end gamer, but want a good AGP 4x/8x card (the AGP port in my pc is 4x).
The ATI Radeon 9800 is overkill. What would you advise regarding the 9600, the 9600 Pro (which seems to be in limited supply), or the 9700 series?
Some of you who have bought the Dell 2001fp must have gone through this process of upgrading your card, no?
