PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif. CO posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls, MP2 folds, MP3 raises, CO (poster) folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (10 SB) 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, T/images/graemlins/heart.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif (4 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, MP3 folds, Button calls, SB 3-bets, Hero calls, Button calls.

OK, I flop top pair with a good kicker and a gutshot. The action seems to indicate straight draws playing against me, and possibly a made straight. I put this player on a pair plus an open-ended draw (i.e. 98s, T9s, J9s, etc.) at this point, but I was not super-confident with this, esp. considering advice on jamming flush draws.

Turn: (9.50 BB) 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, Button calls.

I fear a set or flush here, as well as the aforementioned made straight. I think, though, that it may be correct to raise here for information? My Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif must be encouraging in any case. But what to do on a 3-bet?

River: (12.50 BB) 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, Button folds.

Final Pot: 14.50 BB

fold preflop. QJs is marginally playable from MP (some might even argue this is a stretch) and QJo is almost unplayable vs a raise.

QJs is definitely playable from MP. QJo is not. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would have folded to the raise preflop.

I can't see a made straight after the flop, unless you really think SB could be playing Q9? More likely a 4 flush, open ended straight draw holding a KQ, T9 or a made two pair. Maybe he even had KJ?

I think a raise at the turn might not have hurt. If it's capped, you can check / call the river.

Just my opinion (and I'm not trying to be a jerk here), but you can avoid tough calls like this by not calling a raise preflop with a marginal hand like QJo.
