About 6 months ago I got a new home computer from Dell that was bought for me by my company for home office use. And then a month ago I bought my 2nd 2001FP. The new comp had the video capabilties built into the motherboard so didn't support a second monitor but I was planning on swapping in the Geforce 4 that was still sitting in my older computer. I didn't realize it until I opened it up but the new computer didn't have an AGP slot, so I was stuck using my older computer again so I could use the dual monitor set up.
So I haven't kept up on the latest happenings but I was just reading that the new standard is PCI Express rather than AGP. Do these cards just plug into a PCI slot and does that mean my new computer will be able to handle one of these? The new computer is much faster than the old one so I would really like to be able to just put in a new video card if that would allow me to dual monitor on it.
