Hi all,

I recently logged in to Neteller to find my account frozen. I emailed them to ask why and they responded with:

Dear Mr. xxx,

We have automated features implemented that automatically close accounts based on certain criteria. We have reviewed your account and this is not applicable in your case. Your NETeller account is now open.

Any idea what this is all about?

Regards, Punter

did you log-on to your account from a different location?
that might explain it.

Happened to me. I logged on, account was closed. Called them up, they told me that my IP was routed somewhere through the states and this caused my account to be automatically closed. They proceeded to tell me about their IP feature on the site, if someone logs onto your account too far away from your home your account is closed. Pretty neat feature IMO.

Turned out to be a mistake, and they opened it up without any problem. They seem to be pretty dedicated to user safety, which is nice for a change.

That happened to me and I had to call them. They said that they needed to verify my identity and asked me the personal questions they asked when I signed up, eg. what was your first car. No big deal, was pretty quick and painless.

Anybody know a way to stop this from happening ahead of time? I'll be going to Hawaii next week and don't want the hassle.

I'd assume that they'd prevent it if you e-mailed support ahead of time
