So I joined a $200+15 on accident instead of a $20+2. I ended up 5th, here's the hand I went out on:

NL Hold'em $200 Buy-in + $15 Entry Fee
Level:7 Blinds(200/400)
Seat 6 is the button
Total number of players : 5
Seat 5: squonk123 ( $3250 )
Seat 6: BATCON3 ( $2100 )
Seat 8: NoFukingWay ( $2390 )
Seat 9: jlidtb6 ( $1230 )
Seat 4: AsdfPoij ( $1030 ) (ME)
Blinds(200/400)
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to AsdfPoij [ Jh Ks ]
AsdfPoij is all-In.
squonk123 calls [1030].
BATCON3 folds.
NoFukingWay folds.
jlidtb6 folds.
** Dealing Flop ** [ 5d, 6d, 6s ]
** Dealing Turn ** [ 7c ]
** Dealing River ** [ 4s ]
AsdfPoij shows [ Jh, Ks ] a pair of sixes.
squonk123 shows [ 9h, 9d ] two pairs, nines and sixes.
AsdfPoij finished in fifth place.

My reasoning behind this: I think KJo is better than average in this situation, as the next hand i will lose 400 of my final 1000, and then another 200 after that just from the blinds. I felt that the chances of stealing were good enough and that even if I didn't steal I'd have a good shot at winning it (45% roughly). Did I play this horribly?

Sorry that you ended up buying into the wrong SnG. I don't think that you played this badly at all. You were getting almost 3-to-1 odds on your money in a coin flip situation. Since your chips were low, I think the all-in with KJ was a good move.

Easy push - you have some fold equity, you'll get called by a wide range of worse hands by a lot of BBs, and you still have a decent shot against the range of hands that might call you from non-BB positions.

Once you get called, you're praying it's a pair tens or less - against the range of hands you'd get called by, you had to be happy to see 99. From there, it's up to the poker gods to decide who wins the 55/45 (or whatever it is exactly).

Well that's nice to hear...kinda...I looked through the history, I won 2 hands outright (both times with AA, didn't go to showdowns), stole the blinds once when they were big, and split the pot 3 times late when we either had the same hands or the best hand was on the board, so I can't be too upset with the results although it sucks I bought into the wrong tourney.
