Bet out the turn; I know you were trying to be tricky, but don't.

He had 9T for the straight on the turn. That's how my day was yesterday :/

Flawless Victory is being a CAPS LOCK dope. You raised pf, there's an ace out there, and you just got 3-bet on the turn. Nice thing about your checkraise is that if you bet and he raised the turn, it could be a semibluff. This 3-bet is almost never a semibluff, it's a made hand, and its one that's got TPGK beat.

If you think it's just two pair, then you have to call the turn/probably fold the river. But a case can be made, given the board, to just laying down to the 3-bet, except on the trickiest of tables.

Thanks Grisgra. I know I'm probably beat with top pair most of the time i get 3 bet or check raised on the turn, but it's still very hard for me to lay it down. I'll try to start and get back to you guys on how it works. Thanks for all the input.

It's always tough -- just because one *should* do it doesn't mean it's easy. I know I can't lay it down all the time in this situation -- sometimes I just have to look them up.

I would bet the turn and 3-bet unless I had a read that he was very likely to bet and pay off a check/raise.

You're in trouble when he 3-bets, but I call down. The pot is big and your effective odds are 4.5:1. I don't know what my outs are, but I usually have at least 3 and I might have 8. There is a small, finite chance you are ahead.

It's better not to post results, ever. If you can't resist, please put them in white so that I don't accidentally stumble upon them before reading the hand.
