View Full Version : losing my mind

Played in my first "live" nl-holdem multi-satellite tourney. 44 players 5K blinds start at 25 50. The table is mostly calling stations. All I have to do is wait for a big hand. I get 10-6 in the BB and decide to raise the bettor with flop of K 6 X. I decide then to bet ALL IN to lose against K5s.

What compelled me to make such a horrible play?

Do I think he is bluffing after calling my reraise on the flop? No. Was I bored? Was I tired?

How do I keep this from happening?

Any thoughts?

p.s. You don't have to comment on my play. I already know how stooopid I was.... /images/smile.gif

Your play was fine. Flop bettor should fold his top pair-no kicker.

It was a horrible play when he originally stated that the table was "mostly calling stations." First rule of bluffing: Never attempt to bluff a calling station.
