View Full Version : Question on hand selection tables in Small Stakes Hold'em book

I was looking at the hand selection tables and there's something that makes no sense to me. On page 81, in the chart for small blind in tight games it says that you should play only the same hands you would from early position. Shouldn't this be early, middle or late position? Why would you play tighter in the small blind than you would in late position? Is this an error or is there something I am missing? Are errata available for the books?

Nevermind, I figured it out on my own. You have to tighten up because you'll be first to act in all future betting rounds.

Like you has said, because you're out of position for the rest of the hand.

It doesn't say to only play hands you would play from EP. It says only play hands that you would play from EP if it has been raised to you in the SB.
