I'm sure this has been asked before so I tried a search without any luck. What is considered the best software for tracking your play/stats, etc.? I'm not committed to an online site yet, so I'd prefer to go with the best software, then play at a site that the software supports. Thanks. This is for Texas Holdem only.

Never used Pokerstat but just buy Pokertracker and be done with it.

Visit both developers websites and decide for yourself. Pokerstat requires you own a different application for each site you use (and it only supports Stars or Paridise). Pokerstat is the only tracking application that supports Omaha games. You can download demos of both applications before you buy them.

It seems that 90% of the users at 2+2 use Poker Tracker. Personally I didn't like Pokerstat's interface.

Real benefit of PokerStat is that it works much faster than PokerTracker and store transcripts in much more compact database. However PT author is also reworking his database/productivity apporoach and next version will use less resources of your computer.

Look at all the pokertracker posts, do you see any poker stat posts?
