Having not folded preflop for whatever reason, you're married to it now.

Adanthar,

I know people play really tight here, but you seem to be saying that it's a no-brainer to fold J9 preflop here, when he has the button with two limpers. I certainly think that he needs to know ahead of time what he will and won't stay with, but doesn't it seem like he got what he wanted?

And even on the flop, why is he married to it? If one of the opponents went all in before he put any more money in the pot, wouldn't it be a fold then?

I'm on the button, with two limpers, and a stack of 72BB.

It's perfectly fine to play J9o.

Well? This is what I'm trying to understand. What I've learned here and from playing in the last year or so is to be extra careful when you have the second nuts. If he hasn't put any more money into the pot, he's only lost T$20. Sure, he can double his stack, but how likely is it that all-in has the actual nuts? Is it close to 50-50?

Not even close. He's ahead here way more often than 50/50.

just from my experience playing the 50+5 daily on party for the past month an all in on the flop for way over the pot this early in the tourney with this board is more likely to mean 2 pair or something like that than the actual nuts.

P.S sorry for the run on sentence

About 0%? If you flopped broadway would you up and slam your stack in?
