View Full Version : The first few weeks of college football

Last year picking games but not betting them (chicken and a poor grad student) I decided I didn't have any clue as to how a team would really perform out of the gates. So I backed off the first 3 weeks until I could get a handle, or maybe just a feeling, on the way the season was shaping up. I think I did better this way, and the early games this season are bearing this out.

Do any of you regular CF bettors do this?

Completely meaningless in CF. The college sports are comprised of mini-seasons so the fact that you do well or not early on has little in telling you how you will do in the rest of the year because your approach and handicapping have to change. Right now its key to understand personnel changes and scheduling, those things will be less significant by the 3rd weekend of this month.
