View Full Version : Decided Not To Buy TPFAP

Why pay $30+ when there's all those comfy chairs in the store? Not like I have a job or anything. And frankly, I didn't see much in it other than The System & Gap Concept, but I only skimmed the rest. I'll keep perusing it.

However, to make it up to Sklansky, I promise to play The System during the final Two NLHE events at The Orleans and plug TPFAP if I win, although anyone who follows the tourney reports could see that most of the mistakes and beats at NLHE final tables could've been avoided by moving all in immediately.

David, if you're not over on RGP, what're the BB adj'mnts you mentioned and are there any others when you get down to the final 5-4-3-2?

Bill,

Were you in Los Angeles at the Barnes and Noble near the Hawaiian Gardens Casino? I bought TPFAP there yesterday and it looked like it had been read through at least twice. Of course most of their books look like they have been read five times over. I think the business game plan is to make money selling Godiva chocolate and coffee rather than books.

Regards,

Rick

If I can't extract all the relevant information from a book while I'm standing in Barnes & Noble, or if the book has information that I wish to refer to in the future, thats when I buy the book. I ordered TPFAP online, but it would have passed the Barnes and Noble test.

Some of the info I had deduced on my own, and some was new. I quickly reviewed the book before a tourney the other day and decided to check and call more with good but beatable hands. Doing this on several pivitol hands was responsible for my winning the tournament.

I am just the opposite of the first three posters. I ordered TPFAP from Borders. I liked it so much that I picked up Getting The Best Of It off the shelf. I was suprised to find it there. I really enjoy paying people for their intellectual property.

if I order from the link at the left than if I buy it elsewhere? I would like the authors to get the money too, even if I had to pay slightly more.
