View Full Version : losing on-line since playing B & M games!

i've been playing on-line for awhile and always did ok. i guess, but i've started playing live in the casino's now and have done even better. but now when i get on-line i can't seem to win at all.. it's getting bad. should i dump all the on-line sites and stick to live games? helppp <font color="brown"> </font>

Live games are softer than online games. A lot of people compare live 3/6 - 5/10 to Party .5/1.

I think it's probably better to learn online for cheap, then make a killing in the casinos.

Are these are your results after a long time playing each?

You need maybe a month of 8 hour days at a B&M and 2 weeks of 8 hour days of online to get over random luck and start reading anything into your results. Less than this and it's possible you're just getting unlucky online or lucky in the B&M.

and compare party 3-6 to live 15-30 (pretty accurately in most california places).

MAYBE THATS TRU.. B4 WHEN I PLAYED ON-LINE IT WOULD BE ALOT 6-8 HRS A DAY....I'VE JUST STARTED PLAYING LIVE BUT WHEN AT THE CASINO, I'D BE IN THE POKER ROOM THE WHOLE TIME ( IN VEGAS I PLAYED 4/8 FOR 25HRS..LOL) CAN'T QUIT WHEN YOUR WINNIN. BUT ALMOST EVERYTIME I PLAY LIVE I WIN.. MYB JUST GETTING BURNT OUT ON ALL THE CRZY PPL ON LINE. PPL DON'T USUALLY PLAY THAT WAY IN LIVE GAMES I GUESS.
I DON'T GET WHAT THERE SAYING? IF I PLAY ON LINE? IT'S LIKE PLAYING FOR A HIGHER AMOUNT IF IT WAS A LIVE TABLE? THX 4 YOUR INSIGHT

Well, the first big question is, Do you track your results? Not as in, "I seem to be doing poorly online the last few weeks" but concretely with (at a minimum) the number of minutes/hours you played, the site, the limit, and the result +/-. I can share the spreadsheet I use if you like.

It's a lot of work to track your results but it improves your ability to analyze your game 100fold. You could start a thread like this saying, "I'm -75 big bets in my last 50 hours of online play at 0.25/0.50 since I started playing B&M, but I'm +100 big bets at 2/4 B&M in 60 hours during that period." Then you could get some precise answers, instead of "It depends".
