Choosing Pixies for overall goodness/relevence/importance. As far as what I like more, I can think of about 10 other P bands.

Good call with Primus.

Why no Prince?

Yeah, I guess it's weird that I'd want both Primus and Prince on there.

Placebo.
Pony Club.

The Pixies will win this because more people will have heard of them.

Excellent with Primus and Prop. I caught the Primus shows like last Year at Roseland, where it was just them? One of the better live sets I have seen.
As for the pixies, I decided to not go, I saw them earlier this year and I really hate Hammerstein. I was never a huge fan of theirs. Broken Social Scene is opening though a t least a couple of nights for them. They are awesome. I'm seeing them next Wednesday.

I wonder if this post is a joke, trying to equate Pavement with the venerable Pixies.

I think they both influenced a lot of newer bands though.

I dunno. I voted Pavement simply because I listen to Pavement so much more than the Pixies.

Puddle Of Mudd and Phantom Planet are in my list of songs on my computer that aren't on this list....and I happen to like them both better than Pantera, FWIW.
