Ugh, I hate that second hand for a variety of reasons. Do you usually post UTG? Do you usually slowplay against one opponent? Do you usually wait until both the backdoor flush and backdoor straight draws have hit to raise?

If the history was messed up and you're the BB with 89s, I play it the exact same way.

These are the morons who make our job profitable, I love it when they just keep trying to suck out on you. They go after their draw with no odds and yeah every once in awhile they hit, simple math. Plus he had an open-ender, such a power hand...

I should have fixed the second one, the convertor is still funky but I had to leave.

And yeah they are good but not when you are having a bad run.

The poker gods will pay me back, eventually (preferably this weekend).

You mean, this sort of thing does not happen at least once or twice every session? I regularly see raising or 3-bet capping with total garbage from players with any 2-suited, and they regularly drag the pot.

Yesterday I saw a limp in MP with 97s facing 2 cold coming back to him, capping and winning the pot with a pair of 9's, and later, chook OTB faced with 3 cold, capping with T2s and flopping the flush. In the games I play, there are really not that many pots capped PF, but there does seem a disproportionate number won by goons with trash hands. So yes, they must know, either that or I am on one long bad run.... /images/graemlins/mad.gif

I don't see that many caps with trash but there aren't that many complete maniacs at 10/20. I've never seen a limp raise with 56s in a capped 6-way pot. Capped 6-way yes but not with a limp-raise with trash. I just found it funny and of course it happened in my 200+BB downswing /images/graemlins/tongue.gif. I'm on my way back now. Just a 130BB to go...

Good luck,

Guido

Not all, both MP3 and Guido would make money on a flop cap.
