View Full Version : A new Era of online tournaments??

At the risk of sounding like a double-agent shill... I have to say that I am very excited about Pokerstars WCOOP. I just saw the schedule and realized that these events could generate the same type of "atmosphere" as some of the major live tournaments, but on a smaller scale. I expect that the ring games online will be great during these tournaments, and that the events themselves will offer a substantial overlay. I see that Ultimate Bet is running a similar series in June. All in all this will generate alot of action on these sites and wil be a lot of fun. I think we may be seeing a new era in internet poker...

I agree. It's looking real good..

For me, it presents a chance to get into a large multi-table tournament without having to travel hundreds if not thousands of miles. Plus, the buy-in's are more reasonable for a PO' guy like myself, given the overhead for the sites is just a WEE bit lower than for the casinos.

Of course, nothing will ever replace the numerous great LIVE tournaments at the casinos. And after winning lots of these online tournaments, I'll be able to afford to travel to them! /images/wink.gif

See you at the virtual tables!
