My ROI in the 30's is in the mid 20's %. I'm curious if anyone with a decent sample size has an ROI greater than 30% here? I'm thinking to have a 30%+ ROI in the 30's one would need to be in the top handful of players at that level.

Thoughts?

That is pretty damn good. How many tables can you play at a time and keep the ROI in the 20s?

most of my data is 4-tabling, but I've recently began trying 6 and 8.

Just for reference, how long did you play at only 1 table before you went to 2, then 3, then 4 and now 6-8?

1 table - 10 tourneys or so
2 tables - 100 tourneys
4 tables - 200 tourneys (ROI 2%)
2 tables - 50 tourneys
4 tables - around 1000 tourneys
6 tables - 200 tourneys
8 tables - 200 tourneys

Something like that.

Cool, thanks! I will be started to play with real money, 10+1 next week for the first time! I will PM you...hate to hijack your thread so much, sorry!

1. 30% ROI at the 33's is very possible, even 4-tabling.

2. If you are doing it, yes, you are one of the top handful of players.

3. Don't assume it is overly ambitious to become one of the top handful of players at the $33 level. It would most likely be a rather pedestrian accomplishment compared to other achievements in your life.

Thanks for the insightful response. I think it's oh too common for young players such as myself to become engulf by the game poker. Certainly a successful marriage, healthy family and good career would all be far greater accomplishments than becoming a top poker player.

Only if you marry a queen, name your son Jack, name your dog Ace, and live in a full house with a boat in the driveway.

My sample size is kind of small at 176 (and not growing since I play higher) but I posted 49% in the 30's. I think 30% is definitely surpassable.
