The pot is big enough here it is ok to overcall. The CO could have a variety of hands here, including a Q-10 or a set. If you were facing a bet and a raise by the button, it would be an easy fold, however.

Your river call was good, your turn play was not.

I probably call the river as long as it wasn't a bet and a raise to me. C/R the turn.

I like it all.

James282, what do you think the turn play should be?

I don't want to checkraise the turn because I'm not convinced at all that we're ahead here. I'd be worried about AK or two pair. I don't want to lead the turn for the same reason.

The river call is close, but my brain commands me to call with aces up when the pot is ten million dollars.

It's not a nice hand to play but i think you played this fine, i don't see much point in raising the turn as your more than likely behind unless he has kk, but your not miles off the odds to call for the gut shot (remember you have to adjust this for the possible split pot). calling down here is not nice but seems reasonable.

I would bet the turn. Rest looks good. Definitely have to call on the end.

So it looks like everyone is okay with the PF cap? I'm not sure I love AJ when I get 3-bet. I'm thinking about JJ, QQ, KK, AK, AQ, etc. Only if his PFR was over 10 would I think AJ beats his range of 3-betting hands. (The fact that he posted notwithstanding).

Think less about the PFR and more about your equity in a 5-way pot.

Yeah, I guess I hadn't considered that it was five to the flop. You don't need to have the best starting hand for the cap to be +EV with this many callers.

Getting 19:1 it is pretty hard to fold this river, but it's really difficult to believe you can ever have the best hand here. I put the button on AQ (he called 3 cold PF and 2 cold on the flop which was Q high) and the CO on KK. Even if someone has KQ instead, you're losing. I doubt that 5% of the time your hand is good. Maybe 2%. The vast majority of the time, one of the other two guys has a K. Then a few more times, they've got AQ or AA. Unlikely, but maybe a set too.
