What kind of longterm results can a (very) good tournament player have playing Paradise NL Texas tournaments. My question deals with the $20 and higher levels.

I know that in order to make $8 at the $20 level you need to be in the money 45% of time and split thoose ecually 15 % first, second and third.

1. Is this possible or just a foolish dream?

2. Do I need to be 50% better then the average player to finish first 15% of the time?

3. Can you give me your net result for at least 100 tournaments. Good numbers with less tries and I´ll belive your just momentarily lucky.

4. By the way, is the level of play much different between $20 and $50? Or is it possible to get the same winrate at the highest levels?

PS. Right now I´m making $3 per turnament ($20) after 12 tries

(and 4 fourth place finishes).

David Sklansky posted on RGP that his guess for the best players in the $110 tourneys long run would be: 1st-12%, 2nd-14%, and 3rd-17%.

Experience tells me that the higher the buyin, the tougher the opposition. Play where you feel comfortable and carry on beating the game.
