I'll admit that I'm surprised how good Ridnour has been so far. I really thought he'd probably be a bust, but he does look like he's going to at least be a serviceable starter for years to come.

Given the Seahawks swan song as of late, the Sonics have been a nice little Christmas present for Seattle fans.

Let's hope they are a good Flag Day and Father's Day present as well! Tonight is gonna be a tough game. If they win it, they will gain legitmacy in the eyes of many nationwide.

I went to their opener at Staples and Ridnour was way too tentative overall, and seemed like he tried to over-compensate in several possessions and "force" plays and assists that just weren't there. From the couple games I've watched since, he looks way way way way way better. It still feels like I'm watching a rook though, but that might just be that game I saw in person lingering in my mind.

Is it going to be televised nationally?

Hmm.. it's Wednesday, so probably not.

It's too bad if they aren't showing it, as I think it will be a great and interesting game.

I just want to add anyone not thoroughly enjoying the sonics and/or waiting for them to fall, can eat all of their dicks. Damn, what are we suppose to root for right now, the seahawks?

GO SONICS!

Didn't manage to catch much of it at lils, but i was definitely impressed with what i saw. I'm psyched that we beat them twice so far this year.

Busted out 6th. Blinds were 25-50 and i had like 175 UTG, i opened into KK which dominated me (and happened to be the guy i carpooled with). With 200 starting it played really fast after the first two levels.

Wow- great game. Duncan was a beast, but he got almost no help from his teammates. Seattle had a tough 3rd quarter when the Spurs came out fired up and pressed them, but the held on and put it away late in the 4th when Ray Allen banked in a three pointer! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Did you see him in college? He absolutely tore it up. Perhaps you're trying to forget. I just wish that last year could have been his senior year and not rookie year.

dude, I really liked the Fortson for Booth trade after ot happened, thought it was a great fit.

Booth was a worthless piece of [censored]. He rebounded less than jerome james, which is hard to do. I would honestly have taken a ham sandwhich in trade for him, as long as it had cheese. Because honestly, if you gave me a ham sandwhich with cheese for him, i think you are over paying.

I couldn't believe it when I heard Dallas traded Fortson for Booth, straight up.

Yah that was an absolutely horrible trade. Maybe if they got another player, or cash, or a 2nd round pick it would make sense. But straight up? Great trade for the sonics.

Yep. I would have taken a circus midget for Booth. Not only could he not play, he has to be in the top 10 ugliest athletes. Why the long face, Calvin?

There was an interesting graphic during the game. The Supes are scoring 102.3 ppg when playing back 2 back and less as the rest period increases. Maybe the should play 61 more straight!!!

Go Supes

Was that the one he rebounded, dribbled out to the side along the baseline, then spun and drove? I scared the mess out of my cat yelling at that one...also helped that I took down a big pot on Stars about 30 seconds earlier.

17-3. Holy crap, they might be legitimate. Wanna see 'em beat Phoenix first. I also can't wait to play the Lakers, just so Ray can go OFF on Kobe. Let Kobe have his 40- Ray has a lot more help than Kobe does.

Ray won't do anything to Kobe. He sucks. He can hit a 3 and make a few shots, but that's it. Kobe pwnz Ray.

The Sonics winning by 20 means nothing. The Lakers lost the most dominant player in the league. How can they be expected to be as good as they were last year.

The Sonics don't get out of the 2nd round of the playoffs.

yes that was the dunk. I jumped out of my chair at that one. I haven't seen Rashard be this aggresive, ever.

I was watching the game with some folks at an Azteca and all of us jumped up when he slammed it on Stackhouse.

Just sick...

btw: Lakers without Shaq == 1st round exit
