what a joke, because of the current state of the economy, everyone at my work is getting 2-3% raises, you have no idea how small and insignificant this is to me.

edit: for a comparision as to how small and insignificant the raise is, see Once and Future Kings cock.

ya know most of us would be happy to get a 2-3% raise.

A 2-3% raise is not a raise - it barely stems inflation. So it is not really a rise at all. I went through this in the latter 90's because of a company downturn. I no longer work for that company.

If you spent more time doing your job, instead of posting on 2+2, you may get a bigger raise.

Get cracking Mr. Salt. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

yeah no kidding Zeno, I have my doubts that I will still be here in 2 months. I have worked here for almost 2.5 years!

I'm not sure we even want to know how you have detailed knowledge of OAFK's anatomy.

[/ QUOTE ]isn't it obvious though? There must be a reason he is such an [censored], I am guessing its because he is so enraged from having a light switch for a dick that he takes it out on everyone else.

Dude, I've been at the same IT job for going on 9 years now. 2-3% is the norm.

ThaSaltCracka

if thats the norm at your work, you should consider finding a new job.

that is shitty. If i got a 3% raise, lets see, that would be an extra, .15 BB and hour. New job time for you...

also, what do you do? I cant imagine what it possibly is that someone pays you to do.

I work in the evictions department of a law firm. Basically I am the support for two parlegals and one attorney. It may seem like I do nothing, but in actuality, a lot of my work is done of the computer, thus it is very easy to post and work.

i didnt think that you did nothing, i just couldnt imagine what you would do that people would pay you for. Case in point, what you get paid to do now. Nice work. Have you thought of asking for a bigger raise, especially showing some increased expenses, duration of employment, and quality of work examples?

I sort of hate it here, so more than likely I will jump ship and find a new job.

Your lucky. Last year I received a 6% raise that I was pleased with. Not too much, not too little. This year I look on our intranet and see that my yearly increase was 1.82%. Let me tell you that again. This year I look on our intranet and see that my yearly increase was 1.82%. 1.82% .

I'm SUPPOSED to have a talk with my boss before it goes though but I've had like 4 different bosses in the last few months. I guess I'll talk to my boss's boss now.

6% would have been nice, 1.82 is .18% below what I got. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Come on Salt, you could be in a third world country, devoid of food, fresh water and the ability to read. But now that I reread it, two percent is worse.
Just be thankful. (Perspective aside, yeah you guys got the shaft).

Just curious, but what is the ideal ratio between TCS posts and other posts in any given thread. This one is hitting about 50%/50% but I'm thinking that might be a little too much TSC... something like TSC 37.284% / Others 62.716% seems about right.

ThaSaltCracka

if its one I started the ratio is much higher then in one someone else started.
