Question about Dell 2001fps

Hey, I have two of these monitors set up. They are both connected to the same video card. One is DVI-D and the other is D-SUB. I dont really know what that means, to me its a blue plug and a white plug. Anyways, one screen is brighter than the other. Ive tinkered with the settings but I know that I have them set up the right way. My question is, is this something that has to do with the fact that they are on the same card, or that they are different connections? Anybody have this problem?

the DVI is brighter and criper. that's just the nature of the connection. D-Sub goes digital -> analog -> digital and loses some signal quality in the translations.

If you switch the connections, is the same one still brighter or does that switch?
