Villain is TP-A 6/2 after 250 hands. Postflop agg arount 1.7-2. I'm having a bit of a downswing so i'm posting standard hands to see if I really am doing it right.

I'm trying to get my blind steals up to about 25-30%. Is K8o a legitimate blind steal hand against 2 tight blinds? BB is TA-N 18/7.

Hands 1 and 2 are ok and you surely bet the river in hand 2.

Hand 3 I probably bet out on the flop and play the same if the action is still the same on turn and river.

Are you really considering not betting your rivered straight? You made a steal attempt, and lucked out on the river, so take advantage of it! I would recommend you bet a set here, two pair, heck, I'd even bet top pair for value in this situation. Your hand is much more powerful than these.

Why not call flop raise and then raise the turn? He is in earlier position, so he'll be forced to bet the turn.

I got the straight man. Bet! A call a raise for a split pot. Cry if you lose to Q8 or KQ.

Yes, I actually froze on that river bet with the straight, I don't know why. Maybe it's because it's so cold here in Sweden /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Here is another TPNK hand, Villain is ofcourse LP-P.

At the end, you're getting 9:1, I think that you'll see Jx often enough to call the river raise.

Not if the read of LP-P is correct. He says he doesn't have a lot of hands with villian but that doesn't bode well.

I smooth call the flop raise and raise a safe card on the turn after UTG+2 bets.

*If* you would have called a bet on the river then you should have bet it IMO. He's passive so you can safely fold to a river raise and assuming he bets a flush and checks anything else you lose the same when he has a flush whether you bet or check but by betting you may get him to fold a better Q than you considering the board is so scary.

If he's so passive that he'd literally never bet the river w/o the flush then check/folding is probably better. HU I would need a pretty strong read to be certain he's not bluffing after you checked the river though.

I bet the river. IMO, he'll call with a lot of holdings you beat.

If the villain is truly passive, a fold is fine. However, you say you haven't played much with him, getting 9:1 I call here with the limited information that I have.

What kind of hands do you steal with at 3/6?

1) If the blinds are moderately tight
2) If the blinds are loose
3) If the blinds are moneybags

Does it matter how loose they are? Anyway, Any recommendations for which hands I can openraise from LMP, CO, Button? I'm trying to get my Att. to Steal Blinds up from only 15% to 25-30%.
