NL vs. Limit HE Satellite Question

Hi all.


Suppose that you are equally skilled at Satellite style (1 table of ten, rapidly escalating blinds) limit and no limit Holdem.


All other things being equal, which would be more profitable?

OK no one is biting, so.....


Which would you think has less of a luck factor?

Tough question ! Depends on your opponents. Conventionally people would say that NL has much less of a luck factor than limit. However, in a satellite, with rapidly escalating blinds, you might argue that the "all-in" factor would possibly give the worse players a smaller disadvantage in No-Limit.


Against passive, calling-type opponents, the good player probably has a bigger edge in a NL satellite. Against loose over-aggressive players maybe limit.
