A mindful statement!

I recently began playing online tournaments. I have played 10 single table limit Holdem tournaments to date. I have won 4 and came second twice. I can state with one hundred percent (personal) certainty that winning is not half as psychologically satisfying as losing is psychologically painful.

gr8 insight...you have become a bona fide poker commentator, as well as a tremendous player....but then, why do people keep playing tournies....masochists???gl

I would agree with you if I lose due to my own poor play. But I have lost my last 3 tournaments in heads up hands holding AA or KK against 33, 66 an 77 all of which turned or rivered their set. Those losses don't seem to devastate me as much. I can rationalize that I got them exactly where I wanted them. Now if only the gods of Poker would smile on me one of these times.
