MP2 would call and raise any two pre-flop and wasn't much better post-flop -- is this the best line to take on this board?

I think I'd raise the turn.

Villain playing any 2 is problematic as it's not inconcievable for him to have 66, 67, 77, 89 to his potential holdings, thus potentially putting him on 2 pair, a set or a straight.

but he could easily also have an OESD or a TPTK type hand as well.

i had a similar situation (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/favlinker.php?Cat=&Entry=52864&F_Board=micro&Threa d=1352034&partnumber=&postmarker=) that looked even more dire than yours and I called down. Though I would say that I got lucky and I probably wouldn't have played this the same were I dealt the same scenario again. I think you played it right though. I think you are good enough times here play this the way you did, b/c if you raise the turn, you'll likely get 3-bet or folded to. raising will put in 2 bets right away and you then 3 if you call a 3-bet. plus the fact that if you are 3-bet, you're probably drawing nearly dead.

if you're folded to, you lose a river bet on a blank.

if you call/call, you're still putting 2 bets in, but you see a showdown and you may get saved by a spiking a pair, counterfeiting villain's potential 2-pair, or making a 3rd A , or you may win outright UI...
