It's bad, but you're forgetting that by folding he's not giving you any "information" for future purposes... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think he's also forgetting that folding AA preflop when two more aces are about to hit the board isn't such a hot fold either, /images/graemlins/wink.gif.

You're just too much of a monster Daliman -- I'd be liable to fold too, screw the almost 6 to 1 pot odds.

Edit: well, a guess is a guess, but 89s actually doesn't make that much sense to me now that I think of it. I still think it had to be a decent draw that had no chance of winning on the end though.

9h 5h?

No call probably means no pair... So time bank on flop is perhaps a tricky/loose call on a draw hoping sb is weak. Trying to represent a monster on turn by faking being pot committed with oesd + flush draw, but it backfires? Who knows, but now I'm interested.

Kh 9h? You have to have more than just a flush or straight draw

I felt pretty bad for you Giga when I was watching that table. I will guess you had 72o and your mouse-click fiasco happened after the river (as opposed to the min-raise on the turn). Other than that I'd assume you just had a draw along the lines of what Aleo mentioned.

Anyone see Zee go allin with 76o later on (don't have the HH /images/graemlins/mad.gif) from CO (if I remember correctly) in 75/150 blinds with a stack of ~8-10 BBs? What was the deal with that? I think too much Moo Shu Pork to the brain. /images/graemlins/cool.gif

yeah, 7h9h almost makes more sense than my original 8h9h guess and it explains why he gave the crying call on the flop but raised the turn.

The fact that he min-raised the turn still seems strange to me though and I don't think he'd be asking us here if the right answer was not a little strange.

Maybe Yugo hit it on the head with 72 and a mouse click disaster.

There's no way he had a TJ here, and Kh9h is also a decent guess but still doesn't seem right to me.

Is it just me or does he really over bet the small pot of 40 to 150? lol

And gigabet calls?? I know he's a bot, and bots dont take that long to calculate pot odds (using the time bank). LOL, jk.

But he definitly doesnt have a pair, as he would have to call at the end as he's only left with like 75 chips. He can't bluff (hahah) either if he missed his draw. Now what draw was he on? Ill try to take a stab at it later, I got to get to class right now.

For what it's worth -- the worst fold EVER, occurred in a $2/4 game I was playing in at the Flamingo. The player can be forgiven (maybe) because I think it was his first time playing and he really didn't know the rules. (Not me, I swear, I was BigBlind with 3-3 in this hand and I folded after the turn).

Flop is J-J-J

Turn is J (making 4 jacks on the board - 6 players see the turn)

Small Blind, Myself and One other player (the bad folder) fold.

Two of the three callers split the pot with an Ace Kicker. The Bad Folder then asks why the pot was split, since one of the Players had A-9 and the other A-J. It was explained to him that you only use your best 5 (in this cases, the 4 Jacks and the Aces), to which he said "Oh, I had A-2, and folded after the turn card because I thought I had to use both of my cards".

Anyway -- I know this was off topic, and not a real advance to the conversation, but I still find it amusing, so I decided to share.

It was a broadway straight on the river. No flush was possbile.

Four players are in. They start playing stupid. One of them raised and another went allin. A player folded.

It actually a MTT but it was a bad fold obviously.

Whats stupid about that? I would push here 100% of the time, you never know when someones gonna get disconnected or click the wrong button or something. If there was a rake maybe I would think about it though but in a tourny every time.

might have been the best fold ever... the guy may have known he was up against 5-of-a-kind.

Gigabet,

I'm assuming then that the mouse-click disaster happened when you accidentally raised the turn (instead of folding). Why call the flop raise of 175 with just a pair of twos? Did you feel your opponent was just trying to buy the pot and would shut down allowing you to either check it through the river hoping your twos stood up or giving you the chance to buy the pot on the turn (if he had checked instead of bet out so much?).

Or, was your mouse disaster on the river when you meant to call? Did you raise the turn sensing weakness and then figure that your twos may hold up in case of a call or reriase by your opponent?

Interested in what a known bot is thinking in a hand like this, /images/graemlins/wink.gif.
