Besides the PF call I think it looks okay. Open limping w/a small pocket pair in MP (especially at 1/2) isn't something I do (unless the table is loose/passive). Any read on the CO?

I might just call down the turn raise, but a 3-bet is probably ok too. On the river the 3-bet is crazy -- a decent opponent is not giving you this action with just AJ. I'd say given the PFR you're up against JJ or AA.

this is very read-dependent.

I'd say it's much more likely to be JA or AK than AA or JJ. I'd say these are the likeliest holdings given the PF & flop action, so i play it like you did...

The river 3-bet is just insane. Really, just calling the turn raise would have been better. Heck, most people don't even raise AJ preflop and that's the one hand that he can have that you beat, as anyone who is "decent" isn't putting that much action in with AK.

How so? CO made the last aggressive play PF and was forced to call Hero's flop cap.

Maybe I'm leaving some bets on the table, but I'm just calling the turn raise. Would a 5% PFR would raise AJ?

Villains smooth call of the turn 3 bet confused me a bit.

I think I went overboard on the river though. I should have just called the Raise.

Opponent had AA and my set of 4's retired from the the battlefield in disgrace.
