Day 4:
One of the swingiest days ever for me. I played for about 2 hours and was up around $100. Then I decided to play a little more later on, and started the session by being down around $250 in the first hour or so. I fought back, and then went back down again. I didn't want to end the session until I was up again, and finally ended 4 hours later up about $50 for the session.
Interesting hands:
1. I have 5-2 in the big blind, and flop a flush. I bet like $4, get raised up to $8, and the guy behind him calls. Do you call? Do you raise? I can't remember what was on the flop, but it wasn't paired up and there was no possibility of a straight.(flush beats a straight, I know, but as far as someone calling with a straight thinking no one had the flush yet.)
2. I have AA. Raise pre-flop, one caller. Flop is 10-8-5. He comes out betting $15. I raise to $45, he calls.(I'm a little nervous now). Turn-check, check. River-check, check. I thought I had him beat, but with him coming out and betting so strong and calling my big raise I was worried he might have had 2 pair or a set. Should I have put him all-in on the turn? The river?
Day 4 stats:
+$151.54
2,004 hands
6 hours
Day 5: Did not play. Woke up real late after a long night of poker, and intended to work on a tax project all day. The Eagles game, some phone calls, and a few e-mails later some people were already getting ready for bed. I didn't really get anything accomplished all day.
Day 6:
Nothing too exciting. Played from about 1AM until 4AM because I was on a weird sleeping schedule from the weekend and wasn't tired at all.
Day 6 stats:
+$365.70
961 hands
3 hours
Days 4-6 stats:
+$517.24
2,965 hands
9 hours
8.72 big blinds/100 hands
$57.47/hour
December stats to date:
+$1,466.97
7,502 hands
24 hours
9.78 big blinds/100 hands
$61.12/hour
Kind of crazy to think that I've played an entire day of poker over the last 6 days. Needed to get a good jump on the challenge though. I doubt I will get any more time in today because of school stuff, so I posted early while I had a few minutes. Thoughts on the hands are appreciated.
