Day 4:

One of the swingiest days ever for me. I played for about 2 hours and was up around $100. Then I decided to play a little more later on, and started the session by being down around $250 in the first hour or so. I fought back, and then went back down again. I didn't want to end the session until I was up again, and finally ended 4 hours later up about $50 for the session.

Interesting hands:

1. I have 5-2 in the big blind, and flop a flush. I bet like $4, get raised up to $8, and the guy behind him calls. Do you call? Do you raise? I can't remember what was on the flop, but it wasn't paired up and there was no possibility of a straight.(flush beats a straight, I know, but as far as someone calling with a straight thinking no one had the flush yet.)

2. I have AA. Raise pre-flop, one caller. Flop is 10-8-5. He comes out betting $15. I raise to $45, he calls.(I'm a little nervous now). Turn-check, check. River-check, check. I thought I had him beat, but with him coming out and betting so strong and calling my big raise I was worried he might have had 2 pair or a set. Should I have put him all-in on the turn? The river?

Day 4 stats:

+$151.54
2,004 hands
6 hours

Day 5: Did not play. Woke up real late after a long night of poker, and intended to work on a tax project all day. The Eagles game, some phone calls, and a few e-mails later some people were already getting ready for bed. I didn't really get anything accomplished all day.

Day 6:

Nothing too exciting. Played from about 1AM until 4AM because I was on a weird sleeping schedule from the weekend and wasn't tired at all.

Day 6 stats:

+$365.70
961 hands
3 hours

Days 4-6 stats:

+$517.24
2,965 hands
9 hours
8.72 big blinds/100 hands
$57.47/hour

December stats to date:

+$1,466.97
7,502 hands
24 hours
9.78 big blinds/100 hands
$61.12/hour

Kind of crazy to think that I've played an entire day of poker over the last 6 days. Needed to get a good jump on the challenge though. I doubt I will get any more time in today because of school stuff, so I posted early while I had a few minutes. Thoughts on the hands are appreciated.

You are like way kicking my ass. I've been slacking a bit on the hands played , but I'm gonna try tonight to get some more in.

I think I'm up $13.00 after over 3,000 hands. What a time to run bad. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

Don't worry Bunky. I'm going to give you a big chance to catch up over the next week or so with finals and projects. What happened to your Day 5 post? Or did I miss it?

Also, I think I might not be able to play at all from December 27th on. Possibly going to New Jersey(from upstate NY) to celebrate my Grandmother's 90th birthday. So you'll have plenty of opportunities to blow by me.

Anyone have thoughts on the hands?

The 5 2 flush seems like a tought one. I would guess that the guy cold calling the other dudes raises has a pretty high one card flush. I would venture to guess that the guy raising your first bet has you beat but cant be sure. The 4 dollar reraise seems kinda low to reraise you, so he could have a high flush card as well. I could be wrong but i would call the raise and see what the turn brings. If it doesnt bring a 4th flush card out there i would bet out and see what happens.
Could be wrong, but thats what i would do

Hand 1: I called, and the guy bet big on the turn, so I put it down, and I think the other guy folded on the river.

Hand 2: The guy showed 8-9 off. Unreal!
