So I'll terrorize Party 10 or 20 SNGs for a couple days, then think to myself "Now I'll play some NL 1/2, maybe I'll make enough to jump to the 50s!" And of course I blow 2-3 days worth of work in 5 or 7 hours.

My name is spentrent, and I'm an idiot.

You got my support.
You will find lots of players winning SNGs are not necessary winners at NL holdem. I am one of them myself. SNGs requires very different skills than NL imo.

I agree, although I can win at NL as well, not as well as I can at SNGs.

Funny thing is my only NL experience before is due to a guide that how to beat NL25 party from 2+2 forum. I did have some success and still think I know nothing about NL play. I think I have improved NL quite a lot after I start play SNGs, mostly from reading MTT forum. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Rachel, do you still have a link to that thread?

"How to beat Party NL25"

Don't have that one in my favorites...

Sorry I don't. That was a long long time ago. But basically I think it's similar to the GUIDE level1-4. I am not sure if that strategy still works well.
