No, it isn't ; -ve by some amount ; but not to any great extent.


Because I don't think that's the point. The main thrust is two-fold : that the system would give a complete novice or even a moderate small tournament player a better chance than trying to play normally ; and that it is a thought experiment designed to make you think about how you should play in certain situations against better opponents, and how you should deal with opponents who frequently go all-in themselves.
