Here are a couple hands for reveiw and help. Both are late game bubble situations which I have been having some trouble with. These both happen to be pocket pairs and I loose with both, I am wondering how I should have played them differently.

Raise hand one preflop.

First hand: ORWELL 1984: Call (60) preflop!? Why not raise, at least to 4BB here because of the limpers. You want to shake them. Also on the flop, you want to be re-raising, probably all in. What are you afraid of - a 3? You wouldn't be if you had raised preflop, anyway.

Second hand: Nothing you could do here. 6BB and you need to push. Just unlucky to run into JJ.

Hand 1

I would have raised t300 (3xBB = 2 limpers) preflop. Since you did not, and then the SB bet into you and the BB called, I would have let it go. You are probably behind to trips with a flush draw on the board and you are down to a two outer. Save your chips for a better spot.

Hand 2
Nothing wrong with your bet. You only have 6 X BB and you need to double up. Push and hope for the best.

This is before I've looked at the other replies.

Hand 1:

Gotta raise pre-flop. You've got to make stragglers pay to try to beat you, plus you likely have the best hand.

On the flop, you're playing this very weakly. The bettor could have a 6, a medium pocket pair, or 2 overcards. You need to raise this and MAYBE think about folding if he comes over the top. As it were, you weakly called and allowed him to push you off your hand on the turn.

In the entire hand, you had a premium pocket pair, and an overpair to the board and you NEVER raised once. That's very weak.

Hand 2: Blinds are 200, you have 1000+ in chips. It's all-in or fold time and you can't afford to get blinded off in chips. Calling here is very wrong, folding is wrong. The only move is to raise, and the only correct raise here is all-in. Tough to run into Jacks.
