ok... growing my PT database and have started using playerview. I can find some people that have vp$ip of around 40% but I could have sworn that someone posted here that they look for games with two or more 50% vp$ip players. Most players are <100 hands in my db. Are my sample sizes just not big enough? Should I expect to be able to find games with two or three 50% vp$ip players in them?

edit: looking at the two tables I'm on now, it seems that the people that I have about 50 hands on are fish when they have a vp$ip of 30%+. Is this a safe assumption?

I go for 60%+ 30 and 50 doesnt mean much because they might be good post flop which makes up for it.

You dont need 100 hands on people either 30 hands is plenty to findout VPIP range.

There are plenty of them out there, I only played $3/$6 for a few weeks but I had well over 50 people on my buddy list.

You do data mine right?

ahahahahaha! I found a couple. Right now I'm sitting with a guy who's 91% at 35 hands! There is a 75% too and a 60% just left. f'in awesome.

I hadn't even seen the buddy list until I just went looking for it right now. Thanks, that's going to help a lot.

If by data mining you mean looking at people's detail page when I play them, then yes. Are you talking about something more involved?

Data mining is where you leave tables open (without playing) and automatically import the stats into pokertracker.

oh man! I just assumed you had to be playing to automatically get the hand history. So I can just go away leaving four party tables open and pokertracker running with the auto-import and I'll get the info?

This may not be the forum to ask this in, but how do you do that? Sorry for hijaking the thread...
