How the heck do you play Yu gi oh duels?

I want to help my 8 y.o. son to learn the rules, but got-damn, the sets of rules I find on the 'net might as well be written in Mandarin.

Can anybody point me to a reasonably logical, well laid out how-to?

Play 1 monster card a turn
You can play up to 5 magic and trap cards total
You can play magic cards only during your turn
You can play traps during your turn or during your opponents turn
Monsters can be in attack or defense mode. When in attack use the first # defense use the second.
When a monster has 5 or 6 stars you have to sacrifice a monster on the field to play it. If it has 7+ then you sacrifice 2
Each person has 8k "life points"
In order for you to be able to attack your opponents life points they have to have no monster on the field.
