Hi all,

I have been running very good in the $6.5 Turbos, and decided to give the $16 a shot. I wouldn't really feel comfortable about dropping 6 buy ins in a row, so I will be sticking to the $6.5s, but I thought I could gain a lot from playing at the higher stakes. Overall, the game looked very very beatable. Loose passive, though a better standard than the $6.5s. Hopefully I will make the permanent move within a month. Here are some hands I would appreciate your comments on.

On the flop I decided to call the weak bet. However, there was a 2 flush on the board and 4 players still to act, so do you think it would have been more wise to fold. I hit my str8 on the turn but the flush came too. It seemed too weak to fold, and I did not want to call as

i) I don't want singleton hearts to stay around
ii) Calling might invite the lone Ace of trump to bluff me out of the pot
iii) If I get reraised now I think I can safely fold.

I am not sure if my raise amount was OK or not. On the river I decided not to bet as I could not see many worse hands calling. I thought it was possible he had a low flush. I didn't fancy getting C/Red either.

MP3 had already shown a habit of betting out 2*BB on the flop. He would then bet out 2*BB on the turn and river too. The one time he showed down he had TPBK. I was worried about QJ and wanted them all to fold. The board was draw heavy and I wanted to charge the draws, so I raised. Am not sure about this one. Thoughts?

Figured I could put in 3 percent of my chips preflop with a niceish hand and position. Could not hope for much better flops so put in a big raise. I take the free card on the turn as I cant see him folding, then bet on the end when I hit. Standard?

Hands #1 and #2 seem really good to me.

Hand #3 I just call the bet on the flop. That is a pretty good size bet and I would not be very confident that I had the best hand at that time. Your opponent's call of your big re-raise is very odd ... I cannot think of any explanation for it. He is left with only 600 in chips (out of 1500 on Stars) and then does nothing on the turn. Oh well ...

There is an argument to be made for folding hands #2 and #3 pre-flop in the early rounds, but I sometimes play marginal hands like that cheaply after I have added some chips to my stack.
