Scrubette and I just saw it.

I thought it was Payne's best movie, and maybe the best movie I've seen all year. Paul Giamatti was fantastic.

He usually is.

It seems to me that any minute now, the media is going to wake up to him and you won't be able to go five minutes without hearing what a great unheralded talent he is. (See Phillip Seymour Hoffman, about four years ago.) He's certainly earned the accolades -- even if he was in "Big Fat Liar."

Can't wait to see "Sideways" -- but it'll be hard for Payne to top "Citizen Ruth." I loved that movie.

His completely insane mother taught my senior year English class in high school, so I've been hearing it for years.../images/graemlins/smile.gif

The New Yorker ran a Talk of The Town profile about him a few weeks ago, and he got a lot of press for American Splendor . It seems like he's one more quirky character part in a movie with a famous male lead before Hoffman-dom...

Last movie I saw at the theatre was Twister. How bad is that.
