Did a small search and didn't see much on this topic. I've been picking up older items as I run across them. My favorite set is my bakelite one. If anybody else is doing it, please post some pics.
Here is the start of my collection:

I'd really like to know more about that Pyramid on the top shelf. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Also, got any MoP or Bakelite plaques, French or otherwise?

No plagues of any kind, waiting to get some of yours. The pyramid is a funny story. The guys at work found it in trash, its plexi and had a small plague on it. Salesman award of some kind. They removed the plague and "engraved" it with a dremel. It was to be revolving trophy for our Fri morning game. I won it the first time and the next three. They made me keep it and quit bringing it, thought it was jinxing them. BTW it looks much better in the pic than it does in person.

Those bakelite chips are very nice. What year/era are they from? Do you ever use them to play?

It's interesting that you bring this up because I'm thinking of building my new chipset out of old casino CHIPCO chips (not exactly vintage, I know). I've located a few on ebay and it looks like I should probably be able to build an entire set of around 1000 except for 0.25 if I keep at it long enough.

Anyone know of a better place to look than ebay?
