Can money be made with just 1 table or is it much better playing as many as possible?

Wouldn't playing 4 $5/1 be worse then playing 1 $20 table?

Debatable - probably because you would pay more rake. But otherwise, even if your individual ROI and ITM reduces per game, your overall increases, as does your hourly rate.

Of course!

A good ROI 4-tabling the 5's would be 35% ie (5*0.35= $2.10/tourney). Thus $8.40/4 tourneys. To make that much in a single 20 you'd need an ROI of 8.4/22 = 38%. This is reasonable. Now say you can 5 table the 20's with an ROI of 20%. If you played the 100's instead, you'd need a 20% ROI there to make the same 1 tabling.

I think its much easier to have an ROI of 20% 5-tabling the 20's then 1 tabling the 100's.

Actually 20*0.2 = $4 per tourney, so $20 per 5 tourneys, to get this at the $100 would require 20/109 = 18.3%. But probably still easier to do this multi tabling the $20s, I agree.

I started multi tabling and love it do 4 at a time either 22 or 33, I mostly do it to force me to play tighter. I noticed when you play just one table you tend to get bored and play more hands. When multi tabling it sucks when you are in 4 hands at once.
