The search function on this forum

I don't like it.

Does it have to search from all the subject lines of replies also? When you try to search something you get 500000000 (approximately) hits with subject like "Re: just made my first million, now what?". I'm not surprised that there are so many questions asked time after time.

Most posters don't use the search function properly here. Try putting your search words in quotations. There is excellent advice for searching in the INTERNET section. Click on the FAQ.

i also noticed that you can use -re: in the search field to exclude replies.

you can't just type in works. if you're looking for an original post with QJs hand in the BB at Party 15/30, you'd do


'-re: +QJs +BB +Party +15/30' which yields 4 results

and NOT

'-re: QJS BB Party 15/30' which yields a million


also, phrases in quotes don't work that well for some reason, like "QJs in the BB"
