You need to be a little more carefull. Homeland Security takes fake ID's very seriously. The feds come down on you if you get caught making even state ID's.

There is so much wrong with this post it is not even funny.

And if you know some shady Mexicans they you can get ones that check out when the cops scan them. Trust me I know how all that stuff works.

You seem like a decent kid. Don't be so stupid. You've already been on house arrest. Your going to end up in even more trouble. At least do yourself one favor and don't do anything that will get you into serious trouble (like drugs!) because as sloppy as you are it's only a matter of time before you get hurt. And if you are going to get hurt make sure you don't hurt anyone else (especially those you care about) in the process. It sucks, but I have no doubt you are going to learn the hard way.

Whats retarded is that this post is enough to get you in trouble. Trying/soliciting to buy a fake ID, which is something you left permanent proof by starting this thread, is enough to get you a class A misdemeanor in most states. What's even more retarded is that you don't realize this. You have a lot of hard lessons ahead of you.

Crazy, not clumsy.

what happened to the good old days when people settled disputes with a man to man (civilized) fight, cops didn't really care too much about drinking, and people just stuck to the good old basics of marijuana and liquor. I really wish we could go back to this time. This country seems like it has gotten new, stricter parents.

You can't settle things with a good fight anymore, the cops with haul you off as soon as a punch is thrown. This is lame. I love hearing stories from my grandfather about how people would just take their arguments outside and fight until everything was resloved. Nothing got out of line, no stupid guns or knives or worries about getting jumped by the other guy's "posse"

As far as alcohol goes, our laws are pretty lame. They remind me of those rules that strict mothers make for their 18 year old children because "they want to protect and hold on to their babies!!!" It is really silly that we can be obligated to pay taxes, have the right to vote, and fight in our nation's army.....but we can't have a sip of beer. I don't think it is wrong at all for someone 18 or over to use a fake ID. I look at it like a protest against our out-of-date laws. If you get caught, you suffer the consequenses. No big deal. I am not a parent, but I would rather my kids at least know what it feels like to drink alcohol and know how to handle it before they move out on their own and have to discover drinking among a pretty bad introductary crowd.

And as far as most kids treat partying these days, it is pretty sad. prescription drugs and designer drugs are so pointless, disgusting and harmful that I don't even want to get into it. There used to be nothing wrong with having a good time with some pot and beer. Now people feel the need to take things to the extreme, and I think it is the actions of these folks who make our laws so ridiculous. It just seems that beer and ganja just aren't enough for people now.

Asking for one here probably isn't the best plan. You have 30,000 college students living in your town (assuming you're still at UMass), someone will be able to help you out. You're clearly not the only one of those 30,000 who wants beer.

im old enough but i know several people that have a real id that was someone elses and they just look really similar. it seems to always work that i know of. just take their old one and give them the cash to get a new one.

If you live in a college town surely there's those one or two places that every college town has that will sell to you regardless of age. By way of identifying them, they're usually run by Indians or some other first-generation Asian person, or possibly an old hippy.

Jeez.

When I was 14, some friends and I used to go near a liquor store on occasion and ask some nice-appearing regular-looking guy to buy us a six-pack, as he was going in anyway. It worked often enough.

When I was 15 or 16 I walked in and tried it myself. It worked once and failed once.

You could probably get in trouble today for both of the above, but not nearly so much as for fake ID.

Or you could learn to homebrew. That's what I did when I was 16 or 17, and it tasted great and was pretty strong beer too. Plus I learned to make dandelion wine and mead. I think the dandelion wine recipe may be in Euell Gibbons' book, Stalking The Wild Asparagus. The dandelion wine was nice, the mead was lousy.

If you're looking to go to bars and casinos with your ID, you could try growing a mustache which tends to make people look older. Don't dress with a backwards baseball cap, baggy pants or anything associated with hip-hop. Try conservative business sort of attire (or at least a quality golf shirt and Dockers), a neat haircut, and maybe a neat mustache (as long as you can grow a real one, not a skimpy one), and I bet you'll pass at some places. Don't try bars that check all IDs on admittance.

You may have better luck getting past security in casinos than ordering drinks in a bar.

ThaSaltCracka
12-02-2004, 11:51 AM
for real, what do you need the ID for. Going to Casinos or going to bars?

Why don't you just wait man, its really not worth the price or the risk of getting caught. Besides, half the time the ID's work and other half they don't.

At least, if it doesn't work out he could try a new style of mustache, and then another...he might even favor us with a trip report.

What style of mustache do you suppose would be best for purposes of getting past casino security?

For all of you who think I was being way to anal retentive maybe you should check this out:

Minger said in the spring of 2002, IUPD made a huge bust of a fake ID ring.

......

Minger said the students were caught after IUPD subpoenaed the students' instant messenger service where they were selling their false IDs.

He said there were no clues to how many they sold or how much they sold them for, but he said it looked to be an advanced operation.

http://www.idsnews.com/story.php?id=18836

The article doesn't talk about this, but the cops actually used the kids AOL IM ID after busting him to set up a sting to catch other people who were trying to get fake ID's. This was their huge "fake ID ring" bust. This wasn't the first time, or the last time that something like this happened at IU. Can you imagine getting arrested because you are talking about buying a fake ID with AOL instant messenger? What's even crazier is that each time the feds were the ones that dealt with the kid (most of which were freshmen) who was making the ID's. I understand why they lost their sense of humor about this stuff, but damn... It sure was a whole lot different when I was 18.

I'm going to be drunk 6 out of the 7 nights in bahamas, 5 out of 7 if i make the last table since i don't want to be hung over, but anyway, you should aim for 5 nights out of 7 too.

Also all my friends constantly sneak into Foxwoods without a problem. Define real.

I've been over 21 for a while now, so I have no real use for a fake id per se, but I could definately see how having a legitimate alternate identity could come in handy.

Are these good enough to use to open bank accounts, show to cops, etc.?

Bruiser,

If you want alcohol you can pay someone older than you (like someones brother) to pick some up. You can stand outside a liqour store and ask young/harley davidson looking people that walk in. Or you can go into the bad parts of town.

For fake ID's always deal in person. Never do a deal over the internet. You can talk to people who work at local mexican restaurants and see what they can come up with.

Your best bet is to find someone that looks remotely like you and use a legit one. Take their ID and ask them to get a replacement. There normally is less punishment/questions for misrepresenting vs. using a completely fake ID. For cards, well it looks like Foxwoods might treat you well.

Good luck, and don't be stupid.

I am in the exact same situation. So far I am 2/2 at getting in to 21+ casinos, but I don't want to have to worry about it. I don't have a car so it would really suck if someone came and picked me up and drove me to Oceans and then I got carded and so we would both have to leave. I would also like to go to vegas next semester and it would suck if I went and then got kicked out of the card rooms that I wanted to play in.

It would also be nice to be able to go pick up a case of beer on my own instead of having to rely on older kids, especially since most kids over 21 live off campus and at least like 10 min away. Back home it wasnt a problem because a bunch of my friends worked at a really shady liqour store.
