Why diet? It makes no sense, especially when drinking that much coke (i.e. soda, pop, whatever you call it).

Reminds me of when I went to Costco and bought a 50-pack of frozen SuperPretzels, the giant soft pretzels you get at sporting events. The box wouldn't fit into the freezer, so I had to put them in 10 Ziplocs and stuff them in there. When my roomate got home, I heard him shout, "What the hell?!" He had opened the freezer and seen nothing but wall-to-wall SuperPretzels.

(They were gone in about 15 days, by the way. I'm thinking about going on eBay and getting one of those display warmer things you see at the stadiums.)

Coke= 140 calories. Diet Coke=0 calories. It makes a BIG difference, especially when someone drinks 6-12 sodas a day.

Although the fake sweeteners have been known to cause cancers in rats, It's in very, very, very high doses. I'm not exactly sure how high, but I'd guess that you could drink a dozen cans of diet coke and still be ok.

I'm sure the other effects it might have on you (cephalic phase insulin reponses [wooooo bio. psych.] would be a lot worse. I'd guess though that your body would even get used to that in a few weeks.

Anyway, best to not drink any of that crap. Not that I follow this mandate, but I wish I did.

Yeah, I notice a lot of people up north calling it pop. Here in the south, texas, we call evertyhing coke. Whether its Sprite, Dr.Pepper, Faygo Orange Cream Soda, Root Beer, it doesnt matter, its Coke. Everywhere/one else seems to call it soda or by its real name.Freaks.
