Would anyone else like to see about 50% of the final table money distributed to the lower rungs? I'm tired of playing well and making it to ~15th place and getting some booby prize while the lottery winning 1st place guy takes home 25-30% of the take.

I agree with boedecker.

If anything I would like to see more money allocated to the final table.

the key for you needs to be not going on mid money and start playing for deep money. next time youre mid money post on here and get smoeone to watch your play so that they can help you go deeper in the future

I agree that we need less places paid. When 1,050 ppl enter, we don't need 100 places paid with 20-100 making meaningless amounts, just pay out to 25 places with the final table really getting rewarded.

I've won several tourneys and a dozen or so more final tables, I know how to win them. My point is that when the blinds get to a certain point, every single hand becomes critically important. When that happens, it becomes less about skill and more about luck + aggression. I can say that when I finish 20th or whatever and make $50, the first place guy did not play 40 times better than me.

I really like playing satellites for that reason..200 people play, top 20 or so get nice paydays. The problem is they're usually turbo and I'd rather have cash.

if youre winning several and finaling dozens, whats the big deal?

The things are incredibly time consuming, and you have to play a LOT of them to make a final table, thats my problem. When it all boils down, luck plays a big part in making a final table, less so making the top 100 or whatever.

If you don't like the structure of the payouts, then don't play in the tournaments. Since you are winning money, why should the structures matter? After all, you are winning tournaments.

I couldn't agree more rerazor, usually its only the top ten percent who gets money. And while I agree some are just able to get to the final table very often, I still think it's so disproportional.

Also a very important issue you have to consider, is that in long run we risk losing a lot of new players, people playing just occasionally for fun, don't want to pay off to the best players all the time. However if tournaments paid 20-30 percent instead of only 10-15%, it would attract and keep a whole lot more players.

It would also make them almost pointless to play in.

Actually I think the very thing that attracts new and bad players is seeing the HUGE amount that first pays even they the have almost no chance of getting it. If the structure was flattened you would lose these *lottery* players that make playing the large field tournies profitable.
