i'm not sure if strip knows it is me.

party 5/10

UTG+1 raises, folded to strip in the SB who 3bets, I call two with black nines, UTG+1 just calls.

flop is 285r

strip bets, i raise, ep folds, strip 3bets, i call.

turn is a K, he bets and i fold.

does anyone make this call down if the turn is a rag? who calls down anyway?

i have no idea what your handle is - i feel a bit violated

as for the hand i dont recall it - when you give me your handle i will check pokertracker

you were right to be afraid - i'm guessing i had a pair at least as big as 66, likely JJ-AA

in the context of some recent threads i'm finding the 5/10 game a stealers paradise - K7s is getting a run open raising from the cutoff and on the button open raising complete garbage like 86s has become common - if i could catch some rivers (my W$SD for the current bunch of hands is 44%) i would be making a mess of these guys

i PMed you my handle.

yes, the game is remarkably passive and weak in comparison to 10/20. why are you at 5/10, btw?

Yeah I think you have to fold there. He might have been getting cute with KQ or AK on the flop, but with that K on the turn there's not much you're ahead of. I suppose he *might* have been getting frisky with 66 or 77 . . . that's about all you're beating.

yeah the turn fold is pretty basic. what if it's a rag instead of a king?

after an absence of a couple of months i decided some work on my 6 max game was in order and i'm tired of telling people how chook ridden this game is without having played lots of it myself

against an overaggressive player this is an easy call down imo, but otherwise its marginal at best, maybe u can beat an overplayed aq,aj low pp

assuming a reasonable player is in the SB i reckon if you call the flop 3 bet its only to hit a 9 on the turn - the turn being a K isnt all that relevant

A turn raise is mighty tempting.

Some chance you're ahead and with no draws, what is he going to put you on?

Will he fold TT, JJ or QQ?

Plus you have some squirm equity /images/graemlins/grin.gif
