Quick question for you guys. I play 6max PP and am a winning player (up $1000 during november). I've only recently (in the last week) been using poker tracker, and my VPIP is way higher than you guys are recommending, in fact according to the rating standards for 6 max i'm a Loose Agressive - Agressive. However, that being said, my bb/100 is still extremely good. I would guess in November I played around 20k hands, so i'm at 5/bb hour. In my defense for the high VPIP I look for tables where basically i'm the only one raising preflop, and I feel like my post flop play is better than most of the people i'm playing against. Is my win rate in spite of my bad play, would it be higher if I tightened up, or have I just found a method that works for me at this level...and I could get killed if I move up....any advice?

20k hands, $1000 up = 0.5 BB/100. How high is your VPIP?

No, it's 5 I think, 20,000/100= 200 * 5 = 1000.

My VPIP is 35%. My preflop raise is 12% and my agression factor is 2.5. These stats are over the last 10k hands, where i'm averaging 7 BB/100 according to poker tracker.

Almost forgot, my WSD is 35% and my W$at SD is 55%

No, it's 5 I think, 20,000/100= 200 * 5 = 1000.

You made $1000 in 200 hours. That is $5/hr = 0.5BB/hr.

edit:

Natch. Read then reply.

You won 100BB ($1000/$10) in (20,000/100 = 200 ) 200 hundred hands.

100BB/200 (hundred) = 0.5BB/100

Right, I assumed 5/10.
35% VPIP is pretty loose and you may increase your win rate by tightening up a bit. Your other stats look very solid to me.

thanks for the help. I've been working on being slightly tighter, and it appears to be working, as my recent win rate is higher than my historical average.

My VP$IP is 29% overall, 26% if you limit it to 6-handed. If your 35% is overall, and you're slightly lower 6-handed, then it looks right to me. I think you can get away with playing more hands in 1/2 given the larger number of people calling down with any pair/calling pf with AnyTwoSooted.
